Dornbirn, Austria – October 01, 2021 – Cree Buildings and ACR have confirmed an exciting collaboration for driving forward sustainable construction in Spain.
The partnership gives ACR complete access to Cree’s innovative modular processes for timber-hybrid construction and its extensive global network. Additionally, with Cree concepts already implemented in neighboring Portugal and other European countries, ACR gain a pre-approved and recognized concept which can fast-track their projects in Spain.
With expected post-pandemic growth in construction – boosted by the European Green Deal – this collaboration is set to spearhead a sustainable transition of the Spanish construction industry.
Ahead of the game
ACR, a leading spanish-based construction company, have long pioneered innovative and sustainable approaches. As the Cree partner in Spain, they are once again leading the way.
“We aim to lead the transformation of construction into an increasingly responsible, innovative, and sustainable industry,” says ACR’s CEO Michel Elizalde. “But we can’t do it alone. We need a partner with proven experience and developed technology, to make quick progress.”
In Cree Buildings, ACR have found the perfect match and can leverage Cree’s years of project experience. “ACR are one of the front-runners in the sustainable transition of the construction industry in Spain and Europe, so we are delighted to have them on board,” says Hubert Rhomberg, CEO and Founder of Cree Buildings. “This marks another step in the expansion of our network and the adoption of Cree methods across the globe.”
Knowledge exchange and supply chain reliability
Crucially, ACR are now part of Cree’s extensive global network, an ever-growing horizontal platform with other sustainably minded firms. Its aim is to expedite not only collaborative knowledge transfer but offer a marketplace of best-in-class suppliers. Especially in an uncertain post-Covid era, this supply chain reliability offers clear competitive advantages.
This is the Cree way, a win-win for not only the environment but all stakeholders in the construction industry: “It’s a paradigm shift in construction – we abandon the rulebook to accelerate change,” states Hubert Rhomberg. “With proven methods, digital twins, and pre-defined processes, we have a trusted concept ready for widespread adoption.”
Sustainable transformation
This adoption by one of Spain’s most important construction firms could be the catalyst for eco-centric change in the industry there, given ACR’s drive for sustainable leadership over the years.
“We are firmly committed to sustainable construction, a necessary transformation of the sector that we want to lead”, says Michel Elizalde. “We believe that this strategic alliance with Cree, with their proven experience and developed technology, will help us make a quick progress.”
